About Sage + Sequoia Photography

We’re explorers who love to take in the world around us (and sometimes we remember to bring our cameras when we do!).  We aim to capture the beauty of nature and share those images with you. We’re currently based in Northern California and our photos highlight the stunning beauty of the West, highlighting timeless landscapes and their flora and fauna.

We took roundabout paths to photography. We met as college students nearly 20 years ago and, while we’ve always loved photography, it took a backseat for years as we went to graduate school and into day jobs. 

Moving to California a few years ago brought our interest in the outdoors into the forefront of our minds. We love active adventuring--trail running, backpacking, camping, road trips, and any kind of exploration that gets us deeper into the beaches, forests, deserts, mountains, and other landscapes around us--and that passion fuels our photography.
